11/9/24 (1:00pm) - Inaugural Veteran Benefit Voyage - Coach Tickets

$25.00

NSHR 285 is our coach. Each seat is newly upholstered for an extremely comfortable ride.

Seats are positioned in pairs. If the person sitting with you agrees, our employees can help you spin your seat to face the opposite direction.

Due to the historic nature of this equipment (being built in the 1940’s), this car is not handicap accessible, as the doorways are between 24 and 25 inches wide. Because of this, wheelchairs cannot be easily accommodated on the train.

These hour long train rides (9am, 11am, 1pm, and 3pm) will load at Hufnagle Park, Lewisburg, PA. Riders must arrive 10 minutes (or earlier) before departure.

Earlier this year, we unveiled our military units. It has been our goal to use these units to help raise money for nonprofit organizations that support and help Veterans. We opened an application process (which is still open for future consideration) to nonprofit Veteran organizations.

We are excited to announce that this November (the 9th, to be exact), LVRR 9050 and LVRR 9052 will be providing passenger rides from Hufnagle Park in Lewisburg, PA. 100% of the ticket sales from these rides will go to Expedition Orange (50%) and Lycoming County Hometown Heroes (50%).

Expedition Orange uses horse and rider to raise national awareness and bring support to Vietnam Veterans and their families suffering from Agent Orange exposure. They conduct an annual benefit ride (in a different state each year), with the purpose, to raise money for Vietnam Veterans living in state Veterans’ homes.

Lycoming County Hometown Heroes, Inc. recognizes the contributions of our Veterans who have served or are serving and provide assistance to Veterans and their families in need. They provide financial assistance to Lycoming County Veterans and their families who have experienced a sudden loss of income or have an unexpected expense.

Both of these organizations allocate 100% of their donations towards Veterans.

In addition to the train rides, we will be selling merchandise and doing other forms of fundraising. 100% of the profits from these sales will be added to the proceeds from the train rides - for both of these organizations.
